Who you are dealing with

One bloke, one shed, and a lot of vans

Scotty has been repairing caravans on Golf Course Road since 2021. Everything that comes through the door gets looked at by the same person who quotes it, which is why the reviews keep using his name rather than the business name.

The work runs from a straight annual service through to panel and sheet repairs after something has gone wrong on the road. Alterations too, when a van needs changing rather than fixing. Solar, twelve volt, fresh and grey water tanks and diesel heaters all get fitted here.

Parts are held on the shelf as a CAMEC and Coast to Coast stockist, and the workshop is a MickeyBlu stockist as well, so a good number of jobs get sorted the same day instead of waiting on a delivery from Melbourne.

What we do

Caravan and camper work, start to finish

Servicing, repairs, alterations, and the installs people usually have to chase three different trades for.

Servicing and maintenance

Regular servicing for caravans, campers and motorhomes. Bearings, brakes, hubs and running gear checked and put right before your next trip.

Repairs and alterations

Panel and sheet work, water damage, doors and hatches, plus alterations when you want the van changed rather than just fixed.

Solar and 12 volt

Solar panels and 12 volt work installed and sorted, including power supply faults and pumps that have stopped playing along.

Water tanks

Fresh water and grey water tanks supplied and fitted, and the plumbing behind them repaired when hoses and joints give out.

Diesel heaters

Diesel heater installations, so the van stays warm through a Wimmera winter or a cold night out west.

Gas fittings and parts

Regulators, hoses and the everyday parts people need on the spot. We are a CAMEC and Coast to Coast stockist, so most jobs do not wait on a delivery.

Not sure whether it is worth fixing? Ring the workshop and describe it. Scotty will tell you straight.

Restorations

Old vans brought back properly

A vintage van is worth saving if the frame is sound. Here is one that came in looking finished and went out looking better than it had in fifty years.

A vintage caravan before restoration, with heavy rust, peeling paint and a damaged rear panel
01

As it arrived

Rust through the panels, paint long gone, and a rear corner that had given up years ago. Plenty of vans arrive looking like this and still have good bones underneath.

02

Back to bare metal

One side stripped back beside the old faded green, so you can see exactly what is being replaced and what is being saved. Panel and sheet work is done in house.

Back on the road

Polished aluminium below, the original mint green back where it belongs, new jockey wheel and coupling. Same van, ready for another few decades.

From the workshop, August 2026

“This customer hit a kangaroo. We used the front sheet to repair the side and put a new sheet on the front.”

Panel and sheet repairs are done here, including the kind of damage the insurer wants photographs of.

After getting back into Vic at the end of a long trip around Oz my van sprang a few leaks in the hot water service seemingly overnight. Scotty being just down the road was a treat to interact with and he had all the bits and pieces I needed to replace several hoses, joints and elbows that had become brittle and split after many hours driving over scorched outback roads. All good now, thanks heaps mate for your help and advice.

Scott is extremely helpful and flexible he checked my power supply for my van water pump as I was passing through. Excellent service and a great bloke!

Our gas regulator went while we are away camping, Scotty was able to hook us up with a new one (at a good price too) Such a nice guy! Thanks Scotty, you're a life saver!

Travelling through

Horsham is halfway, and things break at halfway

The workshop sits on the run between Melbourne and Adelaide, which is why so many of the reviews come from people who were not from here. A regulator lets go somewhere out west. A hot water service starts leaking after a few thousand kilometres of corrugations. A pump stops.

Pull in and we will sort it if we can. Most common parts are on the shelf, so it is often the same visit rather than a week in a caravan park waiting on freight.
